The evening chorus of frogs, toads, and peepers on Cape Cod is seen not so much as a sign of spring, there hardly is any, but more the welcoming of summer. Windows and sliders are thrown open for the first time, moonlight walks and lawn games take their place in the day, and the vernal ponds are brimming with the rains of April.
