Sermon delivered by Pastor Randy Pabst. Giving away to receive; taking a cross (instrument of death) to know life; loosing life to save it! This all goes against our basic nature but is exactly what Jesus invites us toward if we are to follow. The Bible is the story of giving away so that one can receive. God gives first—his only Son so that the world (we) might know just how much God does love us. He then asks us to give ourselves over to God through the same Jesus so that we too can know and experience life as God intended.
